Signal privacy policy

Who we are
Signal is an internal research prototype operated by Dream Config Limited, a company registered in New Zealand. It is not a public product and has no customers. It has a single user: the director of Dream Config Limited, using the director's own accounts and own data.
What Signal collects
- Activity summaries from Garmin and Wahoo, only with the explicit authorisation of the account holder: start time, sport, duration, distance, elevation, average heart rate and average power.
- Public weather data from Open-Meteo.
- Public product catalogue data published by apparel brands on their own websites.
Signal has no user accounts, uses no advertising or analytics trackers, and sets no tracking cookies.
How it is used
Activity data is used only to derive summary characteristics of the account holder's training (for example typical ride duration and how that is changing over time) and to show product recommendations back to the same person. Where an AI model is used to word a recommendation, it receives only those derived summaries: never activity records, identity or precise location.
What Signal never does
Activity data is never:
- sold or licensed;
- disclosed to any third party;
- used to train or fine-tune any model;
- used in advertising.
Storage and retention
Activity data is stored on a single device controlled by Dream Config Limited and is not replicated to third-party services. It is deleted when the account holder revokes Signal's access in Garmin Connect or Wahoo, or on request.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete any personal information Signal holds about you. Signal is operated in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
